Local elections for 2021 are quickly approaching and the slate of candidates is becoming more clear for Salida. The City of Salida will hold a regular coordinated municipal election on Tuesday, November 2.

In order to have their petitions approved, candidates had to collect a minimum of 25 signatures which were due by August 23. Candidates have been hard at work collecting signatures and the city has released the following approved petitions.

Running for Mayor is Dan Shore, who is currently a city council member for Ward 1, and he is also the current Mayor Pro Tem.

Running for reelection are council members Harald Kasper of Ward 3 and Justin Critelli of Ward 2. Also running for city council is Dominique Naccarato for Ward 1. Currently, Adam Martinez is in the process of having his signatures cured which must be done by August 30. Martinez is also running for Ward 3.

Eligible candidates are the following:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be currently registered to vote.
  • Council candidates must be a resident of the City Ward or of a territory annexed to that ward for at least 12 months.
  • Mayoral candidates must be a resident of the City of Salida or of a territory annexed to the City for at least 12 months.
