The public is invited to join Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) for this year’s “Wild About Wings” which will focus on a variety of winged creatures.

Participants will discover birds, bats, insects and even flying technology through hands-on activities and listening to natural resources professionals.

The majority of this class will take place outside. Participants are asked to dress in layers for Colorado’s temperamental weather conditions and remember it can be hot, muggy, buggy, cold, wet and raining, all in the same day.

The class is scheduled for July 13 to 16 in various outdoor classrooms in the Upper Arkansas Valley, from Salida to Leadville.

The class costs $75 to sign up and checks must be made payable to GARNA. Registration is open until June 30 and the class is limited to 20 people. Click here to sign up and learn more.
