Ark-Valley Humane Society (AVHS) is welcoming the public to their second annual Paws for Thanks, an open house event on Sunday, November 5 between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m.

AVHS Board members and staff will be giving guided tours throughout the shelter. “Animal snuggles” and light refreshments will be provided.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the community back for our second annual open house! We have had some big staffing changes over the past few months and are excited for you to meet our wonderful board and staff team while touring the shelter,” said AVHS Executive Director, Nikki Ritter.

Ark-Valley Humane Society is located at 701 Gregg Drive in Buena Vista, Colorado. AVHS is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. for pet adoptions, pet cremations, stray intake, owner/guardian surrenders, and more. AVHS serves all of Chaffee County.
