Award-winning sewing projects created by Chaffee County 4-H members are on display through Saturday, Oct.  20, at The Hodgepodge, 1548 G St. #7 in Salida.

Items on display include creations by sisters Kaylee and Kyndra Johnson, each of which earned Reserve Champion honors for clothing construction at the Colorado State Fair. Ruby Shomion’s project also earned State Fair honors for clothing construction.

Chaffee County 4-H programs are part of the Colorado State University Extension program, and enrollment for the 2018-19 year opened Oct. 16. Prospective members are encouraged to join in the fall for maximum involvement and benefit. Anyone between the ages of 5 and 18 on Dec. 31 can join 4-H, and enrollment costs $25.
