The Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation’s Best Start Program will be in Buena Vista tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 9, distributing free baby boxes at their Babies Love Boxes event. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Buena Vista Public Library located at 131 Linderman Ave.

According to the Best Start Program website, “The Best Start baby box is modeled after a Finnish baby box which dates back to the 1940s. It comes with a firm mattress and organic fitted sheet.

Every box comes filled with a variety of items geared towards helping keep both your little one and family happy and healthy.”

The Rocky Mountain Children’s Foundation says, “Baby boxes provide babies, up to six months of age, a safe place to sleep or relax while under parental supervision. Inside each box is a firm mattress with a waterproof cover and an organic cotton sheet.”

To qualify for your free baby box, full of helpful resources, takes only three easy steps:

  1. Visit www.rmchildren.org/best-start-program to enroll.
