Chaffee County Public Health Director Andrea Carlstrom shared an announcement today from the Region 15 Opioid Settlement Governance Committee, which serves Chaffee, Custer, Fremont, and  Park Counties. A fund has been created to help behavioral health providers tackle the high cost of living in our area so they can continue to serve the area.

The fund sets up a per-person allotment of $6,000/year-per-person, available directly to individual behavioral health providers. Consideration will be given to providers whether they work for an established behavioral health organization or they are independent practitioners.

Applicants must reside in the four-county region and provide direct behavioral health services to individuals in the region. Applicants will be considered who serve those within our four-county region dealing with Substance Use Disorder, including Opioid Use Disorder, and other co-occurring challenges.
