As the community slowly begins to reopen after months of dealing with the coronoavirus known as COVID-19, Box of Bubbles owner, Ken Brandon, looks forward to what the future brings.

Brandon is a designer, artist, screenwriter, and former art educator. He created  Box of Bubbles as a creative resource center. It was conceived as a space for community members of all ages to gather and explore creativity.

Prior to COVID-19, the center was used for art galleries, pop-ups, artist demonstrations, classes, and more.

But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brandon is rethinking the concept of Box of Bubbles. Brandon told Ark Valley Voice “because of the restrictions that have been put on [retail spaces], I’m trying to think outside the box. I haven’t formulated anything definite yet but we’re looking into putting a lot of effort and energy into a virtual space.”

Brandon explained, “I’ll be looking at doing audio and visual kinds of projects that I can do in here, but can be streamed or put on Facebook to reach out and connect with people.”

Brandon says that he hopes that soon art-lovers can have a local art experience from the comfort of your home.
