This week, residents of Buena Vista will have the opportunity to “touch-a-truck” – including the equipment that provides emergency and public works services to town residents and businesses. The event, scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, is part of Buena Vista’s participation in the Colorado Municipal League’s Colorado Cities and Towns Week.
The touch-a-truck event will be held at the north railroad parking lot across the railroad tracks from Buena Vista’s town hall. According to Emily Katsimpalis, assistant to town administrator, everyone is welcome to come out to see the equipment and vehicles that help make life safer and more convenient for Buena Vista citizens and visitors.
The CML organized the annual, week-long celebration to remind the public of the many services provided by municipal governments, from public safety and civic decisions to promoting area recreation, tourism and cultural activities, which contribute to the quality of life in Colorado.
