The Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce will host an all-day Independence celebration along the general theme of highlighting the town’s present-day allure with past day charm.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. residents and visitors are invited to join Art in the Park at McPhelemy Park. The event is free, but tickets are required. Click here to sign up.
The Park will also host a beer garden by Eddyline Brewery. The live music lineup, which is sponsored by Full Circle Real Estate Group and Legacy Bank, is as follows:
- 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mountain Mantra
- 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. Bruce Hayes
- 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Coleman Smith & Friends
Events at the Buena Vista Depot Stage include:
- 10:00 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Victorian Lingerie Show and Cockeyed Liz – starring Kathi Perry and Lois Goss
- 12:15 p.m. Alsina Dearheimer – starring Lisa Wagner
- 3:00 p.m. Suzy Kelly and Railroad History – starring Vic Kuklin
- 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Music by Kent Lant
- 11:30 a.m. Motion Exchange Dance Performance at the BV Depot
- 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meet the Artist: Evelyn Gottschall Baker at Chaffee Arts Booth, McPhelemy Park
Weather permitting and pending no fire ban, the American Legion Fireworks at the BV Rodeo Grounds will begin promptly at dusk on JUly 4. This year, there will be no parade due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations. Click here to view the full schedule of events.
