As election results for the Nov. 2 Coordinated Election roll in from Buena Vista, early numbers just after the polls closed, show clear leads for school board candidates Nancy Best and Jessica Crites, both of whom faced opposition.

Lynn Montoya 1,791 Votes – 100%
District D
Nancy Best 1,340 Votes – 58.5%
Erik Phillips 959 Votes – 41.8%
At-Large
Jessica Crites 1,716 Votes – 76.7%
Terri Gerstmeyer 522 Votes – 23.3%
Editor’s Note: 7:45 p.m. …These are not final results. The Chaffee County Clerk and Recorders Office is still awaiting the remainder of the ballots being brought from Buena Vista voting sites, which will be processed as soon as they arrive. Election results including those ballots will not be available until after 9:00 p.m. Nov. 2, or later, depending upon how processing proceeds.
