On the agenda for the 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 regular meeting of the Town of Buena Vista Trustees is a resolution that would allow for the town to establish a COVID-19 temporary use process, creating additional serving space for on-premises liquor-licensed entities and retail businesses.
The City of Salida considered and approved a similar resolution earlier today.
If the resolution is approved, it would allow restaurants and bars that serve food, including tasting rooms, to apply for temporary modifications with their local and state licensing authority to set up temporary outdoor seating areas that support the public health order for social distancing requirements. This expansion of serving space could be set up both on private, as well as public property.
