One of many items for the 7:00 p.m.Tuesday, May 22, Buena Vista Board of Trustees meeting will be Elevation Beer Company’s application for a Colorado liquor sales room in Buena Vista. If approved, it would be located at The Beach, 701 Front Loop, in South Main.
Also under consideration is an intergovernmental agreement between the town of Buena Vista and the Buena Vista school district R-31 to form a school resource officer program. The topic has had increased attention recently, and trustees have noted that Salida added a school resource officer last year.
Trustees will consider ordinances to provide funding and a resolution approving a grant agreement between the town of Buena Vista, acting through its water activity enterprise zone, and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs to improve the town’s water system.
The trustees’ lengthy agenda also includes the transfer of the Casa del Sol hotel and restaurant liquor license to Sorelle Delicatessen; a permit for an accessory apartment; and approval of a grant application to Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments to help supplement funding for the Wayfinding Phase I project, which would add signage to direct both tourists and locals to town sites.
