The amended agenda for the April 11 Buena Vista Board of Trustees meeting includes a 6:30 p.m. work session, scheduled for the purpose of the presentation of the 2023 Fire Mitigation Plan prepared by Envision Chaffee County Program Director Kim Marquis.

Regular business items include review of the Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) – Community Grants Awards, by the CCCF Executive Director  Betsy Dittenber, and the official recommendations for the Buena Vista Community Grants.

The BV Trustees will consider the adoption of a tobacco ordinance, following an information session by Buena Vista Police Chief Dean Morgan, School Resource Officer Jake Englund, and Buena Vista School District Superintendent Lisa Yates.

Prior to staff reports, the Trustees will receive an update on Orion Integration Services as a sole source for information/tech support and security.
Among the few items on the consent agenda, is a resolution approving a public improvement agreement with Mountain Dream Enterprises, LLC for the property known as Hess Alberson Subdivision, in Buena Vista.

The regular meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Both the work session and the regular meeting will be held in the Buena Vista Community Center at 715 Main Street, and will also be available for viewing and participation virtually.
