In August, the Contin-Tail Gem & Mineral Show comes back to the Arkansas Valley. The Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds will once again be transformed into a hub of commerce, bubbling with knowledge and insight into the world of mining and artisanship.
This year, the show will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Thursday, August 8, through Sunday, August 11. 
The Contin-Tail Gem & Mineral show has been held annually at the Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds for over 30 years. With over 120 vendors present every year, the Contin-Tail Gem & Mineral Show is the largest outdoor show of its kind in Colorado.
Of the vendors who attend the show, many are experienced miners and artisans who bring to market only what they find, craft and produce.
Whether you’re seeking gems, minerals, or handcrafted wares, the Contin-Tail Gem and Mineral Show boasts a selection all can enjoy. Parking at the rodeo grounds is free-of-charge, and admission to the show is free as well. The show is family-friendly, and all ages are encouraged to attend.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from mobile food vendors.
