The Buena Vista Board of Education will host a meeting to connect with citizens interested in running for a seat in the upcoming Board of Education election. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 31 at 113 N. Court Street in Buena Vista.

The Board will provide an overview of the responsibilities and commitments required of a board member. There will be time for questions and answers from interested candidates. District Election Official Hannah Jayne will be available to respond to questions about the process for candidates in preparation for the election.

After the July 31 meeting, the Board will meet next for a study session with the Strategy Team at 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, and conduct their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on August 14.
