In an announcement made Friday morning, the Colorado Dept. of Transportation is notifying motorists to expect travel delays at the intersection of U.S. 50 and U.S. 285 in Poncha Springs beginning Monday, Aug. 19. Utility work will be performed just north of that intersection and West Poncha Avenue intersection.
Utility work will continue from Monday Aug. 19 through Friday, August 23. CDOT says travelers can expect periodic stops at the location of the utility work.
The work will also interrupt the operation of the traffic light signal at the U.S. 50/285 intersection. Flagging personnel will be on hand during the utility work, with a 10-foot width road restriction will be in place.
