The Central Colorado Conservancy annual volunteer appreciation event was held at the Boathouse in Salida Jan. 31.
“The volunteer organization currently has 135 active volunteers, and the annual event is held to thank the volunteers for all the work they do during the year,” said Central Colorado Conservancy Executive Director Andrew Mackie.
Every volunteer receives a certificate and pin. This year’s pin is the Great Horned Owl.
The conservancy protects land and water resources, helps with sustainability of private and public lands. It also does ecological restoration and community conservation.
