Chaffee Arts Expands Classes Courtesy Photo

Chaffee Arts will be increasing their enrollment in free art classes for 2020 for both middle school and high school students. Chaffee Arts said that the popular classes are held by local artists and are now available for registration.

According to Chaffee Arts, all classes are “hands-on” experiences. Sudents will create art pieces that will be exhibited at the Chaffee Arts Open Awards Show in May 2020.

The free art classes are funded this year by Operation RoundUp (ORU). Operation RoundUp is an innovative community service program created by Sangre de Cristo Electric Association through consumers who volunteer to round their monthly bill up to the nearest dollar.

Funding from those who round up their bills is pooled for charitable contributions through the ORU program. It is a way for consumers to help fund worthwhile community projects by dispersing funds to organizations and individuals for food, clothing, health needs and education.

Those looking for more information on the upcoming art classes have been encouraged by Chaffee Arts to reach out to Terry Stevens by emailing chaffeearts@gmail.com, calling (630) 962-2303 or by visiting www.buenavistarec.com.
