Buena Vista is adding yet another event to its collection of community-minded engagements. Chaffee Arts is bringing a Mini Art Walk to downtown Buena Vista. The event is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m on Saturday, July 20.
“We chose downtown Buena Vista because of the exposure to a large number of people during the summer weekend,” said Chaffee Arts’ David Billesbach. “It will also bring an art event to the downtown area in hopes of building more downtown art events to benefit businesses and artists.”
The Mini Art Walk will be held outside at Simple Eatery, Watershed and on the Jailhouse Garden Patio. There is no admission fee. Featuring 20 artists and their unique work, the gallery will include jewelry, pottery, photography, glass, painting, mixed media and 3-D pieces.
Viewers will be treated to demonstrations by several artists displaying their art processes. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a group abstract painting. The Buena Vista Circus and local musicians will be performing during the event.
A silent auction will be held during the event, featuring Chaffee Arts members’ donated artwork.
All Chaffee Arts members can register to reserve a booth to display their artwork. The cost to reserve a location is $25.
