The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will meet in person for their 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8 regular meetings in the commissioners’ meeting room at 104 Crestone Avenue, Salida. The agenda includes review of Chaffee County Public Health Contracts, including renewal of the “Connect for Health Colorado” contract, and the annual MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Colorado Prevention Center (dba CPC Community Health) for Colorado Heart Healthy Solutions Program.
The Consent Hearing Agenda includes three lot line elimination requests: one known as the Smith lot line elimination, by David and Susan Smith that would result in two adjoining lots being combined into one singular lot at 22860 County Road 292B, Nathrop. A second, the McKinney Lot Line Elimination requested by Dennis & Carrol McKinney would combine two lots into one singular lot at 22869 County Road 292B, Nathrop. The third, known as the Anderson Lot Line Elimination located at 22304 County Road 292D, Nathrop, is requested by Marian Anderson, Linda & David Buchmueller, David & Jeannie Anderson.
The regular agenda is a brief one, with two public hearings for special event liquor license permits: the Buena Vista Chamber, and the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative for the Sawatch Ascent 50k on Sept 24 2023. It will also hold a public hearing for the liquor license renewal application for Cliffhanger Liquor.
The BoCC will continue its July 11 meeting discussion with the County Attorney’s Office regarding code violations at 22720 U.S. 50 and consider approval of the AMR Application for Secure Transport Permit.
The BoCC will end their meeting by moving into an executive session “To hold a conference with the County’s attorney for purposes of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions and strategy involving a pending water case matter, pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(b).”
