The Chaffe Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) regular meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, will focus first on public hearings for land use applications.

The Martellaro-Veltri Minor Subdivision Final Plat Applicants, by Marc Martellaro and Justin Veltri will subdivide approximately 16.9 acres into four (4) lots ranging in size from 3.6 to 5.5 acres, located at 7476 County Road 145, Salida Zone. The parcel is zoned residential. The proposed access will be from two points off CR 145. The applicants are requesting a waiver to Section 7.4.2 D1 of the Land Use Code to allow a second driveway to be constructed onto CR 145.

A second public hearing is scheduled for the Smith-Arkansas River Investments LLC Boundary Line Adjustment and Lot Line Elimination project. Applicants Darrell and Kimberly Smith, and Arkansas River Investments LLC, are proposing to combine four lots into two lots and to adjust property lines between the two property owners that will fix a nonconformity where the property line goes through the structure.

Among regular agenda items for review is a decision on a possible course of action for the Triview Metropolitan District Water Court application and consideration of an amendment resolution to Resolution 2021-55 approving the Adams Agricultural Subdivision exemption. It will also consider a pledge to support the Town of Buena Vista’s Land and Water Conservation Fund 2022 grant application.

An executive session is scheduled, to discuss legal matters and strategies involving the housing department. Also attending, in addition to the BoCC, are expected to be: County Attorney Jenny Davis, Deputy County Attorney Daniel Tom, Assistant County Attorney Miles Cottom, Housing Director Becky Gray, County Administrator Bob Christiansen, and Finance Director Dan Short.
