The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will hold its regular meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19 at the Buena Vista Community Center, 715 E. Main Street, Buena Vista.

Key items on the agenda include consideration of a match request of $3,000 for the Stage and Rail Trail Project, requests for letters of support for broadband and communications grant applications, and a review of the Fire Mitigation and Vegetation Management program by the Sangre de Cristo Electric Association.
The BoCC will review two contracts: one for approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) Regarding Regional Opioid Agreement Distributions, the second for a terminated ground lease at the Salida Airport, redone under a new lease arrangement.
Two broadband grant applications will be discussed: the Colorado Broadband Office Advance-Capital Projects Fund grant application, and a request from Vero Broadband to provide a Letter of Support and match for Advance-CPF application, under the county’s Invitation to Negotiate process. Charter Communications has also requested a Letter of Support for Advance-CPF application, also under the county’s Invitation to Negotiate process.
The Geocamp variance request originally on the schedule has been postponed. Submitted by Jason Kunshier and Patricia Bobzin for a rural-zoned parcel at 8707 State Highway 24, Buena Vista, the request asked for a road width variance in the campground.
During the review of the Limited Impact Review application for the Geocamp Campground both the Chaffee County Planning Commission and the Chaffee County Fire Protection District both recommended approval of this variance request.
The consent agenda contains several items for which there is expected to be no dissent. they include:
