First on its agenda will be an update by Tracy Gutierrez involving the Southern Colorado Economic Development District (SCEDD) Broadband Initiatives and Grant-Seeking Facilitation Efforts.
The county will continue the discussion of its participation in the federal 2023 Opioid Settlement and follow that with a discussion involving the county’s planned acquisition of what is being called a “multi-jurisdictional vehicle.” Both Buena Vista and Salida municipal governments have already been briefed on the possible acquisition.
The BoCC will move on to updates on two communications contracts: the CenturyLink Contract and the Motorola Contract with Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center.
The afternoon session beginning at 1:15 p.m. will include a Land Management Agencies Stakeholder Meeting focused on the 2022 Report On Rec Ranger Program and recommendations for 2023, as well as a preview of the Colorado Wildfire Protection Program and Common Ground Annual Report and some suggestions for policy updates.
This will be followed by an update from the offices of our U.S. Congressional Leadership.
