The Chaffee County Board of Commissioners (BoCC) is meeting at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 5 for its first work session of the month. The meeting is in person in the Commissioners Meeting Room at 104 Crestone Ave. in Salida and available via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/109079543 (Meeting ID: 109 079 543)

For this first meeting of the month, the reports by the county’s Landfill Committee and Human Services are postponed until July. The BoCC, sitting as the County Board of Health will consider the Public Health STEPP Tobacco FY 2024 Contract in the amount of $50,000.

On the morning’s agenda is an update from Solvista Health by Brian Turner/Mandy Kaisner, and an update from Colorado Mountain College by Ben Cairns and Rob Simpson.

The BoCC will review for acceptance two grants: one from the Colorado Energy Office EV Readiness, and another known as the Colorado State Forest Service Local Government Assistance Grant.

It will participate in a land management agencies stakeholder meeting after lunch, followed by a congressional leadership update.
