Chaffee County Public Health reminds the public that their new Chaffee Community Clinic (CCC) mobile health clinic is up and running. As earlier reported by Ark Valley Voice the goal of the CCC is to serve those that often have a difficult time accessing affordable healthcare.
According to Mike Orrill, CCPH Special Projects Coordinator, this includes unhoused, uninsured and under-insured, under-resourced, undocumented persons, those struggling with substance use and mental health disorders, LGBTQ+, et.al. The clinic will provide very basic medical, dental and harm-reduction services, resource navigation, and referrals to area medical, dental and mental health providers.
All services will be offered at no cost to the patient, no reservations or ID’s are required and both Salida and Buena Vista have weekly visits as shown here.
The clinic will not be in competition with other providers of health services, intending instead to partner with them for a greater depth of service.

So, if you have a hospital and another business causing distress, sleep deprivation and torture will they fix it or blame you and allow the harm to continue? If this county does not stop causing health problems to eliminate residents and replace them with vacationers and scabs, there will be no poor to use this new service as is expected by those doing the planning. Is this an honest attempt to help, or is this more assault on rights of women. Last time we had a service here to help the poor, they demanded that you do as they say or you sacrifice your right to treatment while they tried to force treatments you may disagree with or not desire instead of dealing with the root of the issue. There was no discussion of treatments or options, only ‘You have to do this or you can’t come here anymore’.
Here’s Beth with the same vague complaints that anyone who reads these comments has seen a few dozen times now. It’s tiresome.
Beth, if you have evidence that the hospital is breaking some law or code, please share that evidence. If you have a problem with the code, take it up with the commissioners and try to make a change.
What effect do you image that you’ll have by making the same complaints over and over again in the comments here?
And, for sure, do not use this free health service, since you have such a big problem complying with whatever requirements they impose.
Honestly…
