For the past two months, Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) has been operating its new mobile health clinic, which it is calling the Chaffee Community Clinic (CCC), in both Salida and Buena Vista. This healthcare opportunity is completely free and no reservations or ID’s are required.

According to CCPH Special Projects Coordinator Mike Orrill, the goal of CCC is to serve those that often have a difficult time accessing affordable healthcare.

The clinic provides basic medical, dental, and harm-reduction services, resource navigation, and referrals to area medical, dental and mental health providers.

This mobile clinic is not in competition with other providers; it is intended instead to work in partnership for greater access to services for those without clinic connections, and the uninsured.

  • Salida clinic:  Mondays, 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., the health trailer is parked at the Salida United Methodist Church, 228 East Fourth Street
  • Buena Vista Clinic: Tuesdays, 1:00 p.m. to  4:00 p.m. the CCPH health trailer is parked at the BV Community Center, 715 East Main Street

CCPH especially notes that the CCC Mobile Clinic has a new location and new service times in Buena Vista.
