“This Isn’t What I Expected”

A weekly session for parents or caregivers of young children has begun, with groups in both Buena Vista and Salida. It carries the catchy title of “This Isn’t What I Expected” Maternal Wellness Support Group.”

  • The Salida sessions will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every Monday at the Salida Early Childhood Learning Center at 516 Teller Street.
  • The Buena Vista sessions will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 pm. every Thursday at the Grove Early Learning Center on East Main Street.

The weekly sessions will provide empathy, information, resources, and practical help to parents as they navigate the challenges of raising small children. It brings home this reality, that while so many try to encourage parents by saying “You alone can do it”, the reality is that “you can’t do it alone.”
