The Chaffee County Democrats will hold their annual Holiday Party from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at Liar’s Lodge in Buena Vista.
The party will include a catered dinner, live music and an awards presentation to honor local Democrats for outstanding service to the community, including Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell, Democrat of the Year; Dan Cassidy, Volunteer of the Year; and Erin Kelley, Rising Star.
The menu will feature stuffed pork loin, mashed red potatoes, a vegetable medley, appetizers and dessert. A vegetarian option will also be available.
Original music will be provided by singer-songwriter Kathy Taylor and her husband Peter. Kathy’s mellow music is inspired by the mountains, people, community, travel, nature, love, struggle, change, hope and humor.
Tickets for the event are $35 for activists 40 and over, $25 for activists under 40 and $15 for children. Tickets can be purchased online at chaffeecountydemocrats.org or at the door for $40. Seating is limited, and anyone interested in attending is encouraged to purchase tickets early.
