The Chaffee County Democrats have announced the election of its new executive board for the coming year, and it appears the Democrats think it may take a woman to get things done. The new board consists of all women. Taking the position of chair is Erin Kelley. Kelley, as a relative newcomer to political campaigns, ran a surprisingly close race to represent Colorado House District 60 against Jim Wilson in the November General Election.
Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder Lori Michell will serve as first vice chair, with Kristen Van Norman in the second vice chair position. Theresa Cortese will serve as Chaffee County Democrat’s Treasurer, while Louise Olsen was selected as secretary.
