The Chaffee County Democrats will hold their annual Holiday Party on December 15, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Liar’s Lodge, located at 30000 Co Rd 371 in Buena Vista.
Awards will be presented to Democrats with outstanding service to the community at the event. This year’s awards recipients include Chaffee Clerk Lori Mitchell for Democrat of the Year, Dan Cassidy for Volunteer of the Year, and Erin Kelley for Rising Star.
The event menu will feature stuffed pork loin, mashed red potatoes, a vegetable medley, appetizers and dessert. A vegetarian option will be available. Original music will be provided by singer-songwriter Kathy Taylor and her husband, Peter. Kathy’s mellow music is inspired by the mountains, people, community, travel, nature, love, struggle, change, hope and humor.
Tickets for the event are $35 for activists 40 and over, $25 for activists under 40, and $15 for children, and are available online at www.chaffeecountydemocrats.org. Tickets will be available at the door for $40. Seating is limited, guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early.
