The Chaffee Early Childhood Council will sponsor a virtual parent night event on “conscious discipline”, presented by Amy Speidel. from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19.
The event is part of the ongoing training known as Raising Children Made Easier.
The event will be capped at 40 participants. Parents should register by 12:00 noon on October 18.
This isn’t What I Expected — Maternal Wellness Support Group
The Chaffee Early Childhood Council has also organized a weekly group for parents or caregivers of young children that provides empathy, information, resources, and practical help to parents as they navigate the challenges of raising small children.
It meets weekly in both Buena Vista and Salida.
“You alone can do it, but you can’t do it alone,” is the support group message. No need to register in advance.
