The Chaffee County Office of Housing is hosting a two-part series featuring Randall Arendt, head of Greener Prospects, for a two-part presentation explaining his approach to subdivision development.
This is a two-event series:
June 25, 3:00 p.m.
June 26, 3:00 p.m.
Arendt’s approach to subdivision development preserves significant portions as permanently protected, creating networks of conservation land and he’ll explain how the conservation design process differs from the traditional clear-the-land and build planning process. He was originally scheduled to appear in person April 8-9 as part of the Chaffee County Housing +Health 2020 Spring Speaker series, which had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic known as COVID-19.
His Chaffee County sessions will feature two local areas already in stages of planning development:
- Thursday he focuses on a parcel located at CR 105, which is part of the area that was discussed during the county’s future development planning session on Tuesday evening, June 23.
- Friday he’ll focus on a portion of “The Meadows, a development on the edge of Buena Vista.
