During tonight’s Chaffee Planning Commission session it will focus on text amendments to several sections of the Land Use Code (LUC).
Included in their review will be changes to the county’s Wildfire Hazard Mitigation Standards, and changes to section C of the unit on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Sections H, M, and O of the Short-term Rental chapter.
The planning commission will also review an amended section dealing with camping on private land for commercial use, and an extensive amendment to the section on agritourism, bed and breakfast operations and guest ranches.
This is not the first time that the planning commission has gone over these sections. They had developed an initial amended code recommendation, discussed in both a joint session with the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) and in a BoCC session, then was asked for additional work on the code.
The Planning Commission will meet beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16 in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at 104 Crestone Avenue in Salida, or via Zoom at Join Meeting (ID# 423 829 0633).
