On Sunday, November 5,  a total of 275 mail votes were received by the Chaffee Clerk and Recorders office, bringing the total ballots received as of Sunday to 5,257, or a 32.95 percent vote rate.

This would appear to be below the turnout in most election years in Chaffee County. The voter turnout in Buena Vista school board race; which has seen influence for outside groups, is running higher than the rest of the county or Salida.
