Christmas Mountain USA 2017

As part of the kick-off to the Christmas holiday season, the City of Salida Fire Department has scheduled a full fireworks display at approximately 6:00 p.m. following the Parade of Lights, on November 26 for Tenderfoot Mountain – which, in honor of the holiday season becomes Christmas Mountain USA.

Safety is a priority for all involved, and in accordance, Spiral Drive on Tenderfoot Mountain will be closed at the gate to all traffic—vehicle, bike, walking, etc. on November 26 ahead of the fireworks display at dusk.

Be aware that biking trails crossing Spiral Drive on Tenderfoot will be closed as well to ensure the safety of all involved.

Individuals who are sensitive to loud noises, or who have pets frightened of loud noise, should prepare accordingly.

This year, as the COVID-19 surge continues, community members are asked to follow social distancing and wear a facemask when viewing fireworks, and when around others. Salida Fire thanks all in advance for their consideration and patience with closures.
