As part of roadway capital improvement projects continuing within the City of Salida, the city has contracted work for asphalt maintenance including crack sealing, seal coats, and asphalt point repairs.

Initial work is scheduled to begin today, Monday, July 11, and should wrap up by Friday, July 15, dependent on weather.
Major work activities will occur on:
- 4th, 9th and 16th Streets
- N, State, Elm, Maxwell, and Vine Streets
- Walnut Street from Nicholls Avenue to Illinois Street
- C Street from 1st Street to 3rd Street.
The city alerts residents that temporary closures may occur on these streets during this time, so it advises residents and visitors to plan an alternate route when possible.
As always, the city assures residents that “Your safety is our priority and we appreciate your patience while this project is underway.”
