An announcement came from the City of Salida, just before the close of business today, Feb. 18, that the City is pleased to welcome Erin Kelley as the Interim City Clerk. Kelley is transitioning from the Salida Fire Department after four and a half years there.

According to Fire Chief Doug Bess, “Having Erin on our team at the Fire Department made a huge difference in our operations. Erin’s skill set and attention to detail will serve the City well going forward. All of us at Salida Fire want to congratulate Erin on her promotion”.

Kelley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Kelley’s first professional role was in the Florida Legislature managing bill history and informing the public of bill status.

Kelley stated, “With my background in the Florida House and Joint Legislative Committee, I have a unique skill set that will aid my growth and development in this new role”.

Kelley came on board the City’s administrative team full time in early February and is excited to have joined the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association (CMCA). Kelley is eager for the opportunity to obtain additional education and to pursue the Certified Municipal Clerk Certification.
