The Salida City Council and the Salida Planning Commission will be meeting in a joint work session beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 6. The meeting will be held over GoToMeeting, adhering to the social distancing order implemented due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The agenda for the joint work session plans for the Council and Planning Commission to discuss the Land Use Code Assessment recently prepared by Clarion Associates. Clarion Associates had previously met with the Salida City Council and Planning Commission back on Dec. 2, 2019.

According to the announcement put out by the City of Salida, some of the topics to be discussed include: “potential expansion of the types of housing allowed in the R-1 zone district; the potential consolidation of the R-3 and R-4 zone districts into one district and inclusion of manufactured housing; potential changes to parking requirements; updated procedures; and more.”

The City will be using the GoToMeeting online platform to allow City Council and Planning Commission members to confer via phone or internet.
