Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera and Attorney General Phil Weiser to Greet Voters in Riverside Park

As the countdown to the Nov. 8 Colorado mid-term election continues, attention is being focused by the state’s political parties on getting out the vote across Colorado.

Chaffee County, which could now be viewed as a purple county, is clearly an important voter segment. Saturday, October 29, an event is planned by the Colorado Democrats in-county; set for 12:00 noon at Riverside Park, located at 210 E. Sackett Avenue.

Ten days out from them midterm election, Colorado Democrats are planning local events to rally voters to get their mail ballots in early. Chaffee County figures in the early vote push. Democrats Bennet, Primavera and Weiser will make a stop in Salida on Saturday, October 29. Also attending will be Colorado Treasurer Dave Young, Secretary of State Jenna Griswold, and State Board of Education candidate Kathy Plomer.
