This year’s Colorado Gives Day was a great success for the organizations associated with the Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF), because of the community’s support. According to the CCCF,  our community rallied to support local nonprofits in a big way with participation up by more than 10 percent over last year.  Your participation, in sharing the message, raising awareness, and donating to nonprofits, allowed ChaffeeGives, as a whole, to raise $131,627 on Colorado Gives Day. This figure was a 10 percent increase over 2020.

“As the host for ChaffeeGives, and as Regional Champion, CCCF couldn’t be more proud – and thankful,” says new Executive Director, Betsy Dittenber. “More good news! This year our nonprofit participation expanded to 36 organizations via our Regional ChaffeeGives.org site. Collectively, we continue to empower nonprofits and provide support to our entire community.  As a bonus, eleven local nonprofits used CCCF fundraising pages to raise awareness of their organizations and collectively raised $9,362, in support of their missions.”

On Colorado Gives Day, CCCF directly raised $18,820 which Dittenber says will improve its ability to respond quickly and effectively to community needs. Such gifts directly to the foundation help CCCF to facilitate community conversation, foster philanthropy and invest in the vital nonprofit sector.
