From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday September 30, multiple organizations have partnered to host Colorado Sales Tax: A virtual discussion on simplification efforts.

The state of Colorado has created a new online Sales & Use Tax (SUTS) System. For those who sell products online or have been looking to expand your business to include online sales due to COVID-19. this is probably the place to have your questions on sales tax remittance answered.

Representative Tracy Kraft-Tharp will provide opening remarks along with background and a summary of the legislature’s involvement with tax remittance. Jenn Penn will then discuss the work of the Simplify CO Sales Tax Coalition and how to get involved. Stephen Maguina, of the Colorado Department of Revenue will provide a demonstration of SUTS that businesses will soon be using for remittance. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share their experience with Colorado sales tax remittance.
