Starting on November 13, the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be hosting various training workshops to help support small businesses for the upcoming holiday season. Many of the seminars will be offered on-demand, meaning those who wish to participate can register for classes that offer ongoing classes until a certain date.

At 10:00 a.m. on November 13, SBDC will host a workshop teaching participants how to reach customers online with Google. This one-hour webinar will show what changes to make for Google business profiles and general website information in order to serve the needs of customers. The webinar is free. Transformative New Paradigm Shifts: The Power of Women Enterprises

At 12:00 p.m. on November 3, the Transformative New Paradigm Shifts: The Power of Women Enterprises will host a seminar featuring panelist Janessa Gans Wilder who is the founder of the Euphrates Institute, Delaney Keating the Director of Startup Colorado, and Jenna Pfingston of JalaBlue Collective Healing. SBDC will offer an on-demand webinar highlighting Shopify for Beginners until December 31. This worship will give participants a comprehensive overview of Shopify including how to set up a platform and loading a business’s first products onto it. This will cover both the customer-facing view as well as the backend so participants will know how to manage sales reports and other important data.

After the interactive webinar, those who still need assistance can request free consulting support to assist in achieving the expansion of online sales for their business. Leanne Pressly will be the featured speaker of the seminar.

Etsy 101 for Small Business Expansion

Also offered on-demand, SBDC will host the Etsy 101 for Small Business Expansion webinar. The free class will be offered until November 30. Participants will go through a 101 level, handholding process to open their Etsy store and upload their first products. They will also discuss optimizing their new Etsy page online presence along with how to promote their business to increase visibility and sales. Click here to register.

How to Pivot for Success Using Lean Strategies is another on-demand workshop. The interactive session will help small businesses and nonprofits develop strategies for surviving an economic downturn. The workshop will also provide tools and methodologies to pivot quickly and effectively, learning to find new market niches.

This session is based on The Lean Startup Method created by Eric Ries which is designed to drive startup and existing businesses to teach them how to steer, when to turn and when to persevere and grow a business with maximum acceleration. To register for free, click here.

The Financial Health: The Lifeblood of Your Business seminar will be offered until December 31. It will provide participants with a basic understanding of key financial statements, percentages, burn rates, and key performance indicators along with tactics to get more profit out of their business. Cash Flow Essentials: An eight module, self-paced series with downloadable templates will be offered on-demand until December 31. The seminar will teach how to leverage cash flow as a financial planning tool and how to start making better business decisions. The class is $45 to take. Click here to register.

Unlocking Opportunities for Your Business with Future Mapping and Regenerative Innovation is another on-demand class that will be offered until December 31. Adrian Reif and Mansi Kakkar will lead the workshop which will focus on the major shifting challenges now, in the short term, and over the next 50 years.

Adrian Reif has over a decade of experience as a social entrepreneur and investor. Reif grew his first company from a farmers’ market stand to products sold in over 6,000 grocery stores. Adrian’s company, Incredible, helps ambitious organizations rethink how to fix the future. He is the author of The Do-Gooder’s Guide to Investing, a guide for anyone who wants to align their money and their values.

Mansi Kakkar calls herself a pattern transcriber and convenes explorative conversations for regeneration. She has 14 years of experience working in the field of design and innovation. The Art of Storytelling: The Power of Women Entrepreneurs will be hosted by journalist and storyteller Catherine Yrisarri.
