Update: The hit vehicle is believed to be a dark red/maroon 2009 or newer Dodge Ram 1500 with chrome front and rear bumpers and chrome wheels with damage to the right side of the vehicle. Driver is believed to be a heavy set, white male, 50-60 years old with a white beard.
On Friday, May 19, around 5:00 p.m., a four-vehicle fatal hit and run occurred on U.S. 287 just south of Larimer County. Preliminary information from witnesses stated two vehicles were possibly road-raging prior to the crash. The two vehicles involved in the road rage were an unknown dark red/maroon pick-up truck and a Chevrolet Camaro.
The dark red/maroon pickup is seen on video colliding with the left side of the Camaro, spinning it into oncoming traffic. The Camaro was hit on the passenger side by a northbound Toyota Tundra. The occupants in the Camaro were pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Tundra was transported to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR) with serious bodily injuries( SBI). The maroon pick-up left the scene of the crash.
