The Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will hold its routine meeting tomorrow, July 16, at 9 a.m. in the Buena Vista School District board room (113 N. Court St.)

A public hearing, regarding a liquor license application, will take place at the start of the meeting.  Shawn Dill, owner of ‘Robin’s’ in Salida, is seeking approval for a liquor license from Chaffee County to sell malt, vinous, or spiritous liquors by the drink at the restaurant location.

Robin’s, located at 8048 U.S. 50, serves breakfast and lunch and features a bakery. The restaurant had its grand opening July 15.

According to the BoCC, “Interested parties who reside or have a business within one mile of 8046 U.S. Highway 50, Salida may appear and be heard either for or against the issuance of said license.”

The BoCC will also deliberate the potential for the construction of a shared building for the EMS and Sheriff’s Department near Buena Vista. The new facilities would help Chaffee County scale its first-responder services in response to the rapid growth of the county.

Also on the agenda, the BoCC will discuss the purchase of a new truck for the Chaffee County Coroner’s Office, consider bid for restriping at Harriet Alexander Field, and consider final approval of the Small Business Development Center Agreement.
