Wednesday morning, Nov. 10, Solvista Health leadership made the decision to postpone their scheduled community tours of the Solvista Health Regional Assessment Center, under construction on the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center campus, due to the county-wide surge in COVID-19 cases.

The tours had been set for Thursday afternoon, Nov. 11, giving the community a chance to see the work that has already been done on this eagerly-awaited regional center.

The state of Colorado is in the midst of a COVID-19 surge, and this week moved to crisis standards of care to deal with the unprecedented number of cases, and the demands on our medical care system. Chaffee County is seeing its highest number of COVID cases since the start of the pandemic.

Solvista confirms that the construction tours will be rescheduled, but no date has yet been set.
