Congratulations are in order for the Cope sisters, Rosalyne and Evelyne for their 4-H grand champion entries at the Chaffee County Fair. Rosalyne won Grand Champion Market Lamb and Grand Champion Showmanship. Evelyne won Grand Champion Market Steer. As the Chaffee County fair winds down Sunday  head out to the fairgrounds and check out all animals before they are sold at auction on Saturday. There are plenty of activities scheduled which are great fun to watch.

Fair events start at 9 am Saturday and at 8 am Sunday. Several crowd favorite events will be: Saturday 8 am stock dog demonstration. 10:30 am catch a pig contest. 11:00 am antique tractor pull. 11:30 am mutton busting. Steering riding at noon. Rodeo 1- 5 pm.  6 pm junior market live stock sale.

Sunday 8:30 am cowboy church service. 10 am antique tractor pull. 11:30 am catch a pig contest. Noon mutton busting finals. 12:30 pm steer riding finals.  1 pm crowning of 2018 fair royalty.
