Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Sean Shepherd will be addressing the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association (GARNA) during their Oct. 21 virtual meeting, which the public is invited to attend online.

Shepherd will discuss the upcoming hunting seasons and the new State Wildlife Area Access Pass, explain the North American Model of Wildlife Management and how CPW wildlife officers and biologists work within it, and will take questions from the audience.

Shepherd, CPW’s Area Wildlife Manager for the Upper Arkansas Valley based in Salida, has more than 20 years of experience with CPW and has lived in Salida for more than 25 years. 

GARNA, a Salida-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting conservation through education and outdoor experiences, will host the virtual meeting through their website.
