In an update to our brief Jan, 20 story regarding a Colorado State Patrol (CSP) communications technician being placed on paid leave after he was arrested in Rio Grande County for unspecified charges, this is an update.

Tony Jackson Hill, age 37, was arrested around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18 by the Rio Grande County Sheriff’s Office (RGCSO). They were responding to a report of a sexual assault, according to, a release they posted on Facebook the agency says.

Hill lives in Alamosa. He was held on charges of sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was due in court last Thursday afternoon for an advisement hearing.

CSP said in a statement that they were made aware of “allegations and charges” against Hill, who works as a communications technician for CSP and is stationed at the Alamosa Regional Communications Center located at 3110 1st Street in Alamosa.
