Gun violence and public safety will be discussed at the Chaffee County Democrats meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at First Presbyterian Church, 7 Poncha Blvd. in Salida. The meeting is open to the public.
Jenn Schuchman of the local chapter of Moms Demand Action will speak about gun violence, current legislation and common-sense solutions to the problem of gun violence.
Kimberly Parker, a candidate for Chaffee County commissioner, will address “Ending Violence Against Women in Chaffee County.” Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze and sheriff candidate Stephen Hall will be present to answer questions.
