Local mental health counselor Elizabeth “Betsy” Floyde has been chosen for inclusion in the International Association of Healthcare Professionals’ directory.
Floyde, a licensed clinical social worker who holds a master’s degree in social work, has offices in both Poncha Springs and Salida. She provides senior, adult and youth counseling, and specializes in person-centered counseling services for depression, anxiety, anger, addictions, complex trauma, healthy aging and life transitions. Floyde also offers home visits for elderly and disabled clients.
IAHCP is a networking organization in which career-minded individuals exchange ideas, educate and empower one another. It also offers international exposure for its members in their chosen fields of practice, providing connections to a wide audience of industry experts, patients and colleagues worldwide.
A Colorado native, Floyde worked professionally with children and youth in Alaska, Utah, southwestern Australia and Tasmania before returning to Chaffee County to launch her private practice, Connectivity Counseling, which emphasizes connections with others, broadening perspectives, and embracing others and their differences.
